Hastings - sea side carnival

I spent last week glued to the sports coverage and I really enjoyed watching the games with friends but we found time to go to the Summer Carnival in Hastings. If you love pirates and mermaids then this is the place to be.

The weather was fantastic and it was lots of fun to watch it.

Brighton Wheel

If you have time to go to Brighton this summer you will love the new Brighton Wheel.

Make sure you have some coffee & cake at Temptation. Peter the owner loves knitting. He knitted his own version of the Brighton Wheel, which looks amazing.

PS: Broadstairs (reminding me of St. Ives) is a small town on the Kent coast with a wonderful beach.

moving in

We had some new vintage moving in to the house. The beautiful print from sir Gerald Kelly's painting got the best place in the living room.

Yellow tea set from KPM and a new vase from Anton Piesche.

As you can see we found some wonderful vintage pieces the last couple of weeks.

I also swapped a few items with my fav vintage lady...

I was lucky to find some more "Demijohn" bottles. Here are some pretty ones too. Just love them in the garden but I guess they would also look good in the house.
