maintenance

A lot of people have been asking me if it is a lot of work to maintain my garden. In early spring there is quite some work to do but all summer is easy going. We just have to water the plants and do some cutting and weeding.

At spring time I swap a lot of seeds and plants. It's really fun, cheap and you meet nice people (like plant nerds).

I enjoy reading garden books and magazines.

Also last year I started a little garden project . I wanted lots of blue plants in the garden, so I went to the garden center once a month and bought blue flowering plants... so now I have different blue flowers in the garden every month, which is really fun.

enjoy your week
Kay

PS: I''m really looking forward to see  Moonrise Kingdom this week.

Human Empire

When I saw the Hamburg poster at  Stephanie's blog  last week,
I really wanted it. She got her poster from  the Human Empire shop.
Did change my mind when I saw the Helsinki poster which is designed by Blanca Gomez.
That one will  make a nice gift for Mister Kay.

Wishing you all a good weekend

Kay

lookWhatICanDo

There was a nice surprise in the mail this morning. Dawn from LookWhatICanDo send me one of her cute Rabbits. Dawn and I have been Flickr friends for a long time. She is using vintage fabric for her wonderful lovely creatures. There is already a small rabbit family living in our house but I'm sure there is space for one more .

vintage stacking breakfast set

These little stacking breakfast sets are made by Interpur from in Korea. I tell you they are not easy to find...

I found the head of my first set ages ago and I swapped some feed with Nina. They are so cute and I will try to collect some more.

Anybody collecting them? (just in case I need to swap)

sunny summer sunday

What a busy weekend... full of vintage, flowers, cake, people, sun, music and a trip to the circus.

There was a car boot sale this morning at the British school which is only once a year. This market is always good for finding DVD's, CD's and books.

weekend feeling

I started my Friday early in the morning with a spinning class. It's exhausting but I really enjoy it.

In the first photo you see my new collection of Monskeys. These are special designs for the european football competition. They are so cute and I only need five more to complete this set.

The black cat from Goebel has been on my wishing list for a long time, great gift from Miss Merle (thanks my dear).

Just finished our Friday night supper club, our special tread was carrot cake and coffee.

Have a good weekend

Kay

We did have fun watching the Jubilee Concert last night. Elton John, Kylie and Madness were my favorite ones. This morning I felt really bad. I wished I could be in London for the concert. Next time I go camping at the Mall... with my girl friends.

hey Amsterdam

Yesterday at the sunday market in Amsterdam. A rainy and cold day but I had a great time. So many wonderful and friendly people came to see me, you really made my day (thanks). Really nice to meet some of my readers and blog friends. I liked it so much that I will be at the market in July again.

Elvis was helping me last night with the boxes.
I was so tired this morning, guess to much talking at the market.

Have  a good week,
Kay

PS: time to watch the Jubilee Concert
