I have been thinking ( dreaming ) of a new kitchen for a couple of months now. Something vintage ala American Kitchen sounds good to me.
This morning in Amsterdam in a parking garage (no kidding) I saw this amazing American Kitchen. I have to go back there and see if I can meet the owner. It looks so beautiful and it's in such an unusual place.
Some people asked where we got our Fly to Stockholm poster. A couple of weeks ago we made a trip to Hamburg and visited Human Empire. I bought the poster there but you can also get it from Hus&Hem
The Poster is designed by Ingela P Arrhenius, a Swedish illustrator. I really like her colorful and cheerful work.
My best vintage find of this summer. A wonderful coffeepot ´Victoria´ designed by Turi Gramstedt Oliver for Figgjo in the late 60s. The color combinations are amazing. I already got the sugar pot.
We had a great day at the Sunday market today, just love the people there. Friendly, interesting and funny... so many different nationalities... always fun to be there.
Here are some photos of the Kings of Pearls. I met them in Margate a couple of weeks ago. If I run out of space for my vintage collection I can always start collecting Mother of pearl buttons.
