Some of my fav 1960 pottery are made by J&G Meakin. I really love the bold colors and flower prints . There is a great book out on Meakin pottery from Chris Marks (a must have for bright and bold pottery fans ). My fav Meakin design is Garden Party , which I hope to find one day.....

I read this post while having my morning Cheerios cereal, from a ... J&G Meakin white ironstone bowl. It's one of a few pieces still remaining from a set I bought ca. 1969.
