winter walk

I always  loved the idea of a winter picnic... walking through the snow, nice hot cup of hot chocolat and delicious cake & snacks. However,  I tried it and I must admit it wasn't half as romantic as it may seem... it was freezing.

Let me  tell you about my friday night pudding club.

After my neighbour's husband passed away last spring I started to invited her for dinner. Now she is coming every friday night for dinner & dessert. For desert we always have pudding from Mona (a dutch pudding company). You can see I also recycle the packaging. It looks so pretty in my pear tree...

Before Christmas I made a little book for Mister kay 

I worked from home all week .My etsy shop was really busy,lots of trips to the post office.
Soon there will be time to go hunting for some new vintage .

Little monster got the flu , that means no school for the next couple of days. So we take it easy today, watching some movies & drinking tea.

This week I should really book our trip to the UK in May, hope to go for 2 weeks. There are some great  car boot sales in May, will tell you more about it soon.

Need to find a small Valentines gift for Mister Kay, any ideas??

Mister Kay got me a cool electic clock for our living room , made in the fifties by the dutch company Nufa.

Great new. This weekend our home is featuared on Etsy. We love Etsy, I got most of my art from there. So that made my day.

Yesterday I had the feeling that the winter was over. But last night we had some frost again, guess we all need some sun in the moment to feel good.

orange Pelican (funny bird)

Ceramic Pelican from Pan (Gobel) made in the 70s. They told me it is a peanut dish.

I ordered some 1940s Ladies Swing  Trousers from Shona at Heyday. I got them yesterday, they are wonderful. Now we just have to wait for spring. That will give me some time to look for

a nice vintage top...

new week

This morning in town. You still see some pretty christmas decorations in the shops.   

Three years ago I went to the Muesum to see the Russian Legends. It was so pretty.

I did not buy the book but it was on my wishlist. So I was lucky to find it in a bookstore couple of days ago. 

I still got my christmas tree but I started to put some of the smaller christmas decoration away.

We are back to normal life... started with the gym, work and school  run this morning .

My idea for 2010 is to buy less and to swap more... lets see how that goes.

Really want to see  the new movie Somewhere, the new movie from Sofia Coppola.
