summer markets

This summer I will be selling vintage

at  two  different markets.

-This weekend the 3rd of June at the Sunday market in Amsterdam.

 I will bring some of Mister Kay's lamps (we all know

he has an amazing collection) and some of my vases.

If you are there come and say HI.

- The other market will be at Spitalfields in London in August.

secret restaurant

 A couple of days ago I went to have dinner at a very special place.

Three nights a week Marit turns her living room in Amsterdam into a restaurant.

We had an amazing three-course vegetarian dinner. Marits house is pure vintage heaven. She has a great taste and you leave her home full of new decorations ideas.

I will be back there soon and if you are in Amsterdam, that's the place to have dinner this summer. But make sure you call or mail before you go there because it is reservation only.

We got a Bank holiday Monday here.

Did I tell you that I put up  beach umbrellas in the garden for my

plants? Looks pretty and protects them from the sun.

At the moment  I love:

Mint (mint tea and cold mint water)

Isaac's live Lip-Dub Proposal (so beautiful)

 little glowing lights ( nice blog)

summer in the city

Sometimes I'm not sure where I would rather be. In my garden or in the city. Amsterdam in the summer is amazing... and there is always so much to do.

Could you live on a houseboat?

PS: I went to the movies yesterday to see 'Salmon fishing in the Yemen'. Wonderful movie. I would call it a must-see.

polka dots

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky to find this vintage polka dot sun bed at the car boot sale in Canterbury. I think it is from the 60s and it is not only pretty but quite comfortable as well.

Did anybody make some plans for the big summer holidays?

strawberry& croissants

This morning some of my vintage ceramic came out for a nice  strawberry& croissant breakfast.
We got a long weekend  and our idea is to go the Belgian.

Have you seen Renilde's mobiles and potholders ( she is the only person who can make potholders make look cool)   at  knots.

PS: Yesterday I  did have my beauty day,lol .Went to the hairdresser ( my fifties look is back ). Also it"'s taken a long time to find the perfect mascara but I finally did waterproof Chanel mascara ..

My week started with an emergency trip to the dentist on Monday morning... Lucky I feel a lot better today.

Last weekend we found some nice vintage, will take some photos the next couple of days. Have been busy in the house and thinking of painting my living room walls.

Addy van Kempen

We met Addy a couple of months ago in Amsterdam at the Sunday market. Together we did a photo shoot of her work in my home. I'm totally in love with her work, she makes them from recycled woolen blankets.

I really would love one for our home, you could hang them on the wall or put them on a table or on the floor. The red one is my favourite but the orange one will go very well with my chair.

We are back. Our week passed by too fast. My garden looks so green now. It is just a bit too cold here at the moment.

Don't you love my new little fifties lamp? So pretty, just have to find a good place for it.

There is wonderful flea market this weekend (it is my fav of the year).  Our friends are over from  Kent so I'm sure we will have a fine little weekend .
