Rena's shop Hear Hear is one of the cutes shops I know in the heart of Amsterdam at the Spui area. It's tiny but full of carefully selected gifts. Got my Boskke Sky Planter from there. Next time you are in town have a look at this little gem of a shop.

summer gifts

 

Mörkt from Ikea is my fav summer gift this year. I needed to stock up on some summer gifts for the teachers at our school. Just love the color. They also got it in a nice vintage green but that one is always sold out.

Stool

Brought some paint for our home from my last trip to the UK.
I have an endless list of thinks I want to paint this summer.
Here is a little taste. Mister Kay painted the stool for me
on the weekend ... I really like it .
First I wanted the stool for the garden but now I keep
it in the hall.

Hippie Summer

This summer we love things in our hair

Thinking of moving in to the Greenhouse.

It's nice and warm there.

The cats started to live there already.

Really in to scented pelargoniums.

My collecting is growing.

 

We had a good weekend. One of my highlights was a dinner on Friday night in Marits huiskamerrestaurant with some friends .The food was amazing and the company was wonderful. A perfect summer evening.

Foekje Fleur

 

 

A couple of weeks ago I specially went to Den Haag to finally meet Foekje Fleur. I have been collecting her fantastic porcelain bottles for nearly a year now. Her work is so easy to mix with our vintage style. Foekje just had her new collection of handmade dinnerware out.

The Proud Otter

The Proud Otter is a wonderful small Cafe at de Pijp, a district in central Amsterdam. They have amazing organic food and good coffee.

The cafe is located at the Gerard Doustraat, a buzzing street with lots of cool shops very close to the Alber Cuyp Street Market.

Got back  home today with bags full of pineapple and watermelons. Most of the evenings we are in the garden till 11 o'clock. At the last flea market we found some
vintage garden fairy light for a pound,that looks so pretty  at night time.

A new print for Mister Kay's collection

Powder Blue is my fav color in the moment. I'm delighted with my new little vintage tea light. I think is quite a old one.

I had a great morning today. Visited Marielle and Hester from House of Dots  at their fabulous showroom.

 

So many pretty dresses. Definitely not easy to make a choice. I think I made up my mind and will go for a blue one.

Last Saturday I made it just in time to see the weird and wonderful exhibition 

Wilder Mann by Charles Freger at the Fomu in Antwerp.

 

I really enjoyed it.Wish I had a change to get the book but it was sold out in the Museum. Not sure where this exhibition will go next but if you can go to see it, do it.

Wild And Unique Warehouse. That are the right words to describe the shop WAUW in Den Haag, run by two lovely sisters.

 

Its very easy for me to spend lots of money there. I really want one of there cool  terrariums.

flea market news

 

This morning at the flea market in Dusseldorf. We haven't been there for a couple of months.

 

Our day was good. I got a new letter and Merle found herself a nice basket .Together we got some old fashioned plant holders for the garden. I remember seeing them in Berlin last year at cafes. Mister Kay got himself some records.

 

A little bonus was that we finally had a change to meet the lovely Stephanie and her boyfriend
