That made my day.

 

Laura Ashley clothes and house ware from the 60s & 70s are

  really collected and there are some beautiful pieces around, so look out for them.

Heavenly coffee... always good to have a coffee break with friends. I can tell  you
my friend has a beautiful home.

Last weekend I painted my living room cupboard.

I used the color James from Little Greene.

 

Most of the work was emptying the cupboard and sorting out what to put back in, lol.

 

Nearly finished so I hope I can go back to the beach soon.

Our first heatwave in years. This time I try to enjoy it  and not start moaning about the heat,lol

Rex chair

 

The Rex chair from the Slovenian designer Niko Kralj. Designed in 1952, it is the must-have chair for this summer. It's a garden chair but I just realised how pretty the Rex looks in our living room.

 

We just started our six weeks summer break.

Great time to try some new healthy living ideas.

Sofia Loren

 

I was lucky to find a second copy of

'Koken con amore' by Sofia Loren.

It came out in 1969 and is very much a collectors item.

It's also a very nice cookbook filled with some really good

recipes... so look out for it.

I have a thing for blue in the moment.

Kitty, Daisy and Lewis

I loved every minute of the concert of Kitty, Daisy and Lewis tonight. They are so talented musicians. Amazing how they switch and swap instruments. Their patents played in the band with them, really cool. Enjoyed a wonderful night of rocking and rolling. If you get a change to see them, definitely a must see.

PS: Going up the country

Gartine

Gartine is hidden down in one of the many side streets in Amsterdam. It's a tiny and really pretty restaurant.

The food is amazingly good and the owners are very sweet. My fav is the breakfast menu. Don't forget to make a reservation!

PS: It was my fist time in the Amsterdam Museum and I was really impressed, fantastic Museum to visit.

Acapulco Rocker

 

On our to-do list for a long time, our vintage Acapulco Rocker. We had some problems to find the material to redo the chair... Finally Mister Kay started last night and I hope it will be finished later today... yeah.

My old boss in London used to wear vintage fake snakeskin boots. So when I saw this pair of red ankle boots. I  had get to get them, they look a bit vintage.

we spend most of the time outside in the moment.

Our terrace is part of our living room.

And after 6 o'clock

it  turns to a cozy dinning area.

On colder evenings we sit there

with our sweaters and blankets.
