my  monday morning started with a trip to see  the doc, got a chest infection and  little monster

is also home with the  flue,

so  we are  home watching   The September Issue ( a must see)

I do like Vogue magazine, I normaly keep my vogue mags for a long time

Hope that l can go to Amsterdam on Saturday to meet  Pia Jane Bijkerk at the American Book Store and get her new book "AMSTERDAM, made by hand"

- love ""oh boy"" from Miss Li, have to get her new cd

it's that weekend feeling

Busy week and I""m getting back in to daily life again , miss my dad  and every day I have to remind myself of that fact( that he is gone) and every day I am shocked .
My  garden looks good and now I have some new ideas for the house ( poor mister Kay)

Guess you all know that I love cushions.

I got this wonderful midmodern cushion from Zoe. She lives in Whitstable, my fav seaside town .

  I love that she makes her cushions from vintage fabric.

It was nice to meet her in person ... have a look at nicework.

esprit du jardin

in the small village of Wingham in the UK, you find  esprit du jardin a wonderful shop where you can get antique ornaments for house and garden,  with a small  secret garden in the backyard.

I really love the portable greenhouse and I'm sure Mister  Kay  could make me  one, guess I would need one in a mid-centry modern look, lol.

HOME

HOME...after a week at the seaside in Kent. I really want to move to the seaside, guess I have to work a lot from now ....!

what did we do...

• lot's of walks on the beach
• going for a drive and singing along with the radio (Mister Kay always sings in the car)
• car boot sale in Canterburry on Sunday morning
• strolling abound in the garden center

what did we eat...

• goosberry fool (lot's), is just one of the best  things  about  an English summer
• indian curry
• to many candybars

what did we buy...

• vintage china (tell you more about our best finds soon)
• mirrors (you can find some nice vintage ones at the car boot fair ). I love them in the house
• tomato plants
• a yellow summer coat for Nila
• and...and...

the best flea market

as promised here some of my Queens day flea market finds

a. orange  choclate tin( love the color)

b. kids mushroom lamp from the fifties( only paid 50 cent for it)

c. Delft blue candle stick ( not really super vintage , but great for the garden)

c. vintage Babuska ( Matryoshka) doll ( in a good condition)

d. dutch ceramic nesting bowls from the fifties( I collected them )

you see I did have a good day  ...!! I did also find a chair and a clock
