Betty B's  ( no website)  in Margate has  a  wonderful collection of vintage clothing& lifestyle accessories from the 1940's - 1950's. I did buy some 'Homemaker' plates there (last picture).
I really love the boat( bar).That would look cool in my living room, lol.

my old dutch

My house is midmodern, my dad was a Rockabilly and I wanted
a  classic Pin up makeover for a long time.
So I went to  My Old Dutch  in Margate and did have a haircut &
make-up retro style .
Debbie (the owner), she is so sweet and pretty, told  me to cut my fringe(bangs) ones a week (that will be fun, lol).
Now I am working on my make-up. I'm so bad with eyeliner&co but I will take some photos when I got my perfect vintage look( promised).

Helter Skelter

I love vintage and I also love Margate in Kent,  it's nice to see that Margate Old Town has gone retro  and you can find some great retro vintage shops there.

Helter Skelter is one of them. Katharine, the owner, is lovely.  She got lots of collectibles from the 60s and 70s. Wonderful posters, books and furniture.

Now I only have to find

monday blues

After a weekend full of cake, cookies( I really love ginger cookies,my winter cravings) and sweets . I went to the Gym this morning.
Really enjoy going to the Gym, feeling a lot fitter and fighting the flab, haha

Made in the Netherlands, beautiful drawing table designed by Wim Rieveld in the fifties  for the Cirkel group. Looks wonderful in an artist studio.

Soon I should order my 2011 calender. Last year I did have the one from myfolklover and the year before I did have a nice one from Camilla Engman... so what should I get this year??
I do love the work from  blancucha, let's see if she brings out a calender this year?!

vintage kids games, I'm so thrilled when I find them ,

they are from the 50 early 60

- this week (second week of October) -

- I started  to crochet an second blanket (the first one was for Nila,
  this one will be for  myself)
- we got a long weekend (so back to work on wednesday)
- I love Avocados
- dreaming of Toffee apples (sooooooooooon)
- reading 'nothing' from Janne Teller (we should all read it)
- missing London

Dutch Interior Fair

We did have a look at the woonbeurs ( interior fair ) in Amsterdam last night. Last year it was really good but  this year wasn"t my fav  , guess I "m a  bit spoilt .
Still  it was great to see the work from
- Carola Zee ( she makes wonderful tea& coffee cups)I did buy a spoon from her.
-Judith Bloedjes ( I just love her work , so simple & puur )

There was also a Vitra living room ( see 3 photo), very happy & colorful

and it was fun to go out with my girlfriends
