Normally I wait till my brother gets a new phone and I take his old one. But then my birthday is approaching so I guess it's a good moment to think about a new phone.

After the snow is gone, we needed a little flower boost for our home. Hyacinths and other spring flowers give you an quick and easy mood boost.

Thank you all for the great feedback on my last post. We will keep you posted on what we will do with our doors, but it looks like that they are going to be painted white.

I would say Friday is my favorite day of the week .

This winter I spent lots of time outside.

 My cats don't go outside much. (I wonder why, lol)
They spend most of the time sleeping.

winter week highlights

I have been member of a old fashioned book group  for nearly 3 years now. We meet up about six times a year and take turns to meet in each others homes (something I really like).

Our book this month was The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffmann.

It was really nice to see how good some of my readers and friends know my taste and my home.

We did go for light green (very much like our mint colored cupboard) but I really liked the yellow one. If I would buy one more I would go for yellow.

We got snow... the town is so pretty and cold.
In the moment I still feel like a bear and want to curl up under a big soft blanket and watch TV all day. But I will go out for a long Winter walk later today... lol.

Yesterday I finally got myself a Coffee table from Hay.

Options

It's the second time this week  I visited Options.

The shop is situated at the Damrak, close to the Central Station, a street I would normally try to avoid. They sell  a nice mix of ceramics, T-shirts, Lov tea, books, bags, magazines and lots more.

Also they serve a good coffee and have a nice range of cakes.

vintage Arabia

Vintage Arabia teapot "Kaarna"  designed by Ulla Procope in the early 60s. It also comes in brown but I like the white one more.

After spending a wonderful holiday over the Christmas and New Year period we are settling back down into our usual routine (work, school, sport, home life).

To stay happy we will start to make some exciting plans for this year... so we'll survive the grey and rainy days.

Piet Hein Eek

For some time now I wanted to have a look at Piet Hein Eek in Eindhoven. It was not easy to get the family excited to do the trip (it's about one and a half hours drive). Iris and Ingrid are always so happy when the go there so I just wanted to have coffee there (crazy me) and have a look for myself.

Also I fell in  love at the Christmas tree poster.

Next time we should take some time to have a look in Eindhoven. Looks like an interesting city.

Mister Kay has a favorite mug. It's a green snowflake mug from Starbucks.

My one is the Angel mug from Sami Rinne. The perfect mug to keep you going on a grey and rainy day in January. Guess there will be some more grey days coming in the next couple of weeks.

Droog Design Shop

When you are in Amsterdam next time, you should really visited the Droog Design Shop. I'm totally in love with their little garden... so cute.

They also have  a nice cafe with very good coffee.

We are still  in the holiday mood. Also my friend Ulla from Finland is here to visited. So we are having a very good start of the year.
