The Queen

Just in time for the Queens Diamond Jubilee, I dusted my Royal tin collection. I love tins, there are so many different ones. The tins from the 50s are my favorite ones.

Have a look at beet cake on Vimeo, makes me feel like baking!

I lived in Italy in the late 80s to early 90s. So I love the Italian golden oldies. L'anno che vera  is my fav Lucio Dalla song. Sorry to hear that he passed .

Nearly weekend
see you
Kay

P.S. our movie tonight Drive

Sie war eine wirklich schöne Frau - toll, dies auf alten Blechdosen sehen zu können!

Beautiful tins! I collected Diana and Sarah Ferguson memoribilities as younger, but sadly through them away when moving around. Would love to get hold of some!

You definitely ARE English ;) Love the collection!
Imagine, I was about to book Lucio Dalla's concert here in town for Mid March. The next day I heard the sad news in the car radio.
RIP, Lucio Dalla!

I didn't know you lived in this country - that's one of my favorite songs too.
Did you see this article on taking the Queen's (and Prince) portrait?

Oh what a cutie she at this time (with all my respect), I´m not British, but her engagement picture is hanging on my kitchen wall, believe it or not. These are VeryVery nice tins!
